This is more than just a treatment facility. It will be a healing center where individuals come to be cared for, understood, and supported as they recover from addiction and trauma. Here, they will access medically-based and holistic therapies, working with their community, culture, and family to achieve successful recovery and reintegration.
Red Shield 8 Nations engaged Culture Keepers to advise on services, facility layout, and design. They have deep cultural and language knowledge and were crucial to identifying these eight key cultural values to guide the Center.

Treating the whole person is a core value that Culture Keepers identified to ensure effective treatment and recovery. The goal of a holistic therapy program is to promote overall health. That means caring for the spirit, mind, and body through conventional and traditional treatments.
